Technology is advancing faster than roles, skills, and ways of working—creating a growing AI productivity and skills gap across organizations. At McCain, closing this gap requires more than tools or communications; it requires a fundamental shift in how work is designed, how roles and skills evolve, how managers lead, and how employees safely adapt.
Reporting to the VP, Global Communications & Change, The Director, AI Workforce Transformation is accountable for shaping and driving McCain’s enterprise AI workforce transformation agenda. This role designs and enables the behavioral, cultural, and leadership shifts required for sustainable AI adoption, placing people at the center of reinvention.
This is an organizational development, culture, and change leadership role, ensuring McCain builds the skills, mindset and change agility needed to thrive in a continuous-transformation environment.
What You’ll Be Doing.
Lead Enterprise AI Workforce Transformation Strategy
Partnering with the VP of AI and VP Communications & Change, you will design and lead McCain’s enterprise-wide AI Workforce Transformation strategy. Through an integrated Communication, Change and Learning strategy you will focus on realizing value through tool adoption, workflow redesign and high value use case implementation.
Establish integrated working rhythms with key stakeholders across Digital Technology and HR to ensure alignment and cohesion in this fast-changing and dynamic agenda.
In partnership with Organizational Development, champion enterprise-wide AI fluency, building baseline AI capability and confidence across all levels of the organization through an ongoing learning strategy.
Redesign Work for an AI-Enabled Organization
Develop a repeatable approach for identifying where AI can simplify, augment, or fundamentally redesign how work gets done.
Partner with functions and business teams to understand current-state workflows and design future-state human + AI ways of working.
Help leaders move beyond automating existing tasks to rethinking processes, responsibilities, and decision-making.
Support the AI Accelerator in assessing Use Cases, ensuring that Change Impacts are assessed with the appropriate level of change support identified
Continue to evolve the enterprise KPI framework for AI adoption and workforce ensuring value, not just adoption, is tracked and reported.
Build People Leader Capability
Redefine manager capability for an AI-enabled organization, including:
Leading teams through role and task redesign
Adopting new work practices and workflows while embedding McCain ways of working
Coaching employees through change and skill shifts
Embed psychological safety, accountability, and trust into leadership expectations, team norms, and ways of working.
Embed transformation capability at the team level, recognizing it as the true engine of AI innovation and adoption.
Use continuous listening and sentiment insight to help managers spot emerging needs and adjust support in real time.
Foster AI Transparency Across the Enterprise
Champion enterprise standards for AI transparency, responsible use, and open dialogue.
Partner with Communications to ensure leaders clearly communicate:
How AI is being used at McCain and why
What it means for McCainers, their work and roles
What guardrails and expectations exist
Address employee concerns directly, creating the trust and psychological safety required for confident adoption.
Help Build Change Agility as a Core Organizational Capability
Work closely with Change Enablement to operationalize change agility as a core capability across the enterprise.
Enable leaders, teams, and individuals to adapt quickly to ongoing transformation, ambiguity, and evolving ways of working.
Partner across HR, Technology, and all functions and regions to ensure change capability is built as part of the every day way we work, not treated as a one-time intervention.
What You’ll Need To Be Successful.
Required Experience & Background
8–12 years of experience in organizational development, workforce transformation, enterprise change or culture transformation
Proven leadership of enterprise-scale technology or digital transformation across a global organization
Experience working with senior leaders and managers in highly complex, matrixed environments
Required Skills & Capabilities
Experience designing manager-facing leadership or enablement and development programs that drive real behavior change
Deep expertise in human-centered change methodologies (e.g., Prosci or equivalent), with the ability to evolve them for continuous change
Strong facilitation, coaching, and storytelling skills; credible with executives, managers, and frontline employees
Demonstrated ability to shape culture, behaviors, and leadership practices—not just deliver change plans
Familiarity with AI and workforce implications; a trusted, informed voice on the human side of AI with clear demonstration of AI personal adoption
Experience with skills-based workforce planning, skills taxonomies, or data-driven skills-gap analysis to inform role and capability redesign
Working knowledge of AI governance and responsible AI principles, with the ability to translate them into practical guardrails for teams
